Hello, I believe my Dad, Richard "Dick" White, served on board the Gearing during the early to mid 50's. I think he was a ship's serviceman or storekeeper. All three of his sons later served.

My father Lester Bergman served as a Radioman on Gearing fron 1948-1950. He has many fond memories of his time onboard and in the Navy. We are celebrating his 80th birthday on March 20. He is doing well and I would be glad to pass on any correspondence to him from his former shipmates.
