I was on USS Steinaker(863) From Nov1969 til July 1971. i rember very well all the good times and people i sailed with. I look at my cruse book often and think how we all worked together and served our country proud. I was an E-3 MM in after Engine Room. LOVED HARSTAD NORWAY!! A former Westpac AE sailor who is proud to say he had the opportunity to serve aboard Gearing for two weeks in 1971 for a Reserve cruise in the Med- a great ship. Best of luck to my short-term ship's company shipmates. You all made us part-timers feel like regulars!
