I really enjoy reading about the Ge Gearing and notes from others. I went aboard when I was 18 and grew up with my many friends there. It has been over 40 years and not a week goes by that something I lear ned in the fordward engine room or on leave comes into my mind. I only wished my sons could have had an experience such as mine. I really give the Navy credit for my success in life.

Member of USS Gearing Assn. Just received my 5 year pin at the '97 Reunion in Annapolis, MD. Of the 4 Reunion's that I have attended, This was the best (so far). It was great seeing all my shipmates again. And my wife really enjoyed herself too. She thinks that Capt. Parson's is "Sweet" on her!! Best regards to the association.
