anyone serveing in this period 68-70, looking to chew some fat.need some imformation leading to va disabilty, I went by .dietz ,mm3 work main control. sometime in 69 i fell down the latter, and was helped to sick bay. looking for anyone with knowledge of the incident.

Wont be able to make the Salt Lake City Reunion. Will be in Wis. during this time.Was looking through some of the pictures.Remember taking a tour to the top of Mt. Etna in Sicily. What a trip that was.Swim call off the coast of Crete.Bull fights in Spain. What good memories they are.Made friends that are still my friends to this day. A special thank you to my good freind Leo for having the forsight 17 years ago to get us all together. My how we have grown. But once a sailor,always a sailor. Enjoy the reunion and maybe I can attend next year.And a special hello to all the gang from 67-69. We had a blast.

Sorry that I cannot attend this year's reunion due to a conflict in schedule. I learned a great deal on board Gearing that has thankfully, remained with me for much of my life. I am indebted in particular to my two skippers, Capt. Leis and Capt. Jefferis, whose patient leadership and mentorship were invaluable. I wish only that all of my children could have the gift of that same experience. (Although my middle son is now a Lt(jg) on active duty as a SEAL with SEAL Team EIGHT in Little Creek, Va.). Though I cannot attend this reunion, I will try hard to make it to next year's. My best to all of you! Andy Reardon
